Manfred 'Curt' Schurfeld

Manfred “Curt” Schurfeld, MBSCSDD, 77 of Lambertville, MI, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Born July 20, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Frederick and Maria (Froelich) Schurfeld. Manfred was a 1959 graduate of Bedford High School. He was owner and operator of Appliance & Shaver Service at Cricket West for over 45 years and co-owner of Pendale Rentals for over 50 years. Manfred held a private pilot’s license and was a member and former president of the Blue Horizons Flying Club. An outdoors man, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and dogs.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Gretchen (Ryan) Arno and Carolyn (Tim) Kearney; grandchildren, Christopher and Bradley Arno and Leo and Tess Kearney; brother, Hans Schurfeld. Manfred was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Schurfeld.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm, Sunday, April 7, 2019, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 8, 2019. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery.
